Preston Peak (b. 1998) is an American composer who spends his days as a medical device engineer and much of the remaining time composing.
His music draws inspiration from the minimalist and post-minimalist traditions of Henryk Górecki, Giya Kancheli, Gavin Bryers, Arvo Pärt, Morton Feldman, and John Cage, while his earliest musical influences included Jean Sibelius, Scott Joplin, and Frédéric Chopin.
His Christian faith has inspired works based on historical and biblical themes, while his contemporary influences have led his musical language toward a restrained, minimalist aesthetic. He resides in Houston with his wife Hailey.
