6 MINUTES | SOLO PIANO | 2025
This work is organized in three short, somber movements. Each movement has a minimalist, abstract sound, and they are composed with feelings of love and unease as the inspiration. A prominent compositional tool used in both Lost in Translation and Lost in Love is the diminished chord, a dreadful and beautiful chord. Combined with an unsteady time signature and rhythm, the two movements evoke a sense of melancholy and unrest. Lost in Thought aims to relieve the listener from the unease of the first two movements. A shift away from the diminished chord is a relief to the ear, and a slightly higher register, a steadier rhythm, and ornamentation all contribute to this feeling.

27 TO 29 MINUTES | SOLO FLUTE FAMILY | 2025
This set of music for the flute family highlights all of the brilliant qualities that I love about the instrument family. The instruments are versatile and beautiful, and a delight to compose for. Each piece is named for a shade of green which was chosen before the composing process started, and I hoped to describe my perception of the color, through music.

18 MINUTES | SOLO PIANO | 2023
As the 2023 holidays approached, I composed this short collection of piano pieces dedicated to the season of winter. The work was composed with a variety of compositional styles ranging from minimalist, to neo-classical, to traditional classical. I wanted these pieces to reflect the warm feelings associated with winter, despite it being the coldest of seasons.
